Research Misconduct Policies
SciFormat Publishing has established Research Misconduct Policies in line with the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics recommendation.
Plagiarism
We strongly advise authors to check their articles for originality and to avoid plagiarism. Additional information on plagiarism can be found on our Plagiarism Statement page.
Allegations About the Authorship of Contributions
The primary author of the paper should be the individual who made the most significant contribution to its creation. All those who contributed to the work should be listed as co-authors in the paper. Any other individuals who were involved in the preparation of the manuscript should be acknowledged or listed as associates and may be acknowledged in the Acknowledgment section of the paper.
Before accepting a final version of the paper for publication is necessary that the author and all co-authors approved the final version.
In all matters related to authorship and contributors, SciFormat Publishing abides by the COPE principles and recommendations. Further details can be found on our Authorship and Contributorship page.
Citation Manipulation
If the editorial board suspects any citation manipulation by the author, the article will be rejected and the author may face sanctions.
SciFormat Publishing views citation manipulation as the use of an excessive number of citations with the primary goal of artificially increasing the number of citations to a specific author's work or the use of citations to articles published in a specific journal.
Duplicate Submission
The author must submit a manuscript that has not previously been submitted for publication to any other journals or publishers.
Data Falsification
If it is discovered that the submitted paper contains falsified or fabricated experimental data, including manipulation of images, it will result in the immediate rejection of the paper and potential sanctions against the authors.
Sanctions
The following sanctions may be imposed for violation of the policies mentioned above:
- Immediate rejection of the manuscript;
- Immediate rejection of any other manuscripts submitted to any journal published by SciFormat Publishing;
- Publication embargo against all authors of the manuscript (prohibiting new submissions), with a minimum duration of 24 months;
- Prohibition of all authors from serving on the Editorial Board of any journal published by SciFormat Publishing."
