Open Access Policy

SciFormat Publishing is dedicated to enhancing the accessibility and impact of research in the field of artificial intelligence. We are proud to offer a Gold Open Access option for authors of "Contemporary Issues in Artificial Intelligence" to publish their work, ensuring that it is freely accessible to anyone, anywhere in the world.

Gold Open Access Publishing

  • Accessibility: Upon publication, articles are immediately available on the SciFormat Publishing website, allowing readers to read, download, and share the articles without any subscription or access barriers.
  • Article Processing Charge (APC): To support the open access model and cover publication costs, authors are required to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) upon the acceptance of their manuscript. The APC rate is transparently stated on our website and within our Author Guidelines.
  • Waivers and Discounts: SciFormat Publishing acknowledges the financial constraints that some authors may face. We offer waivers and discounts based on the author's institutional affiliation, country of origin, or personal circumstances. Information on how to apply for these concessions is provided during the submission process.
  • License: Published articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), empowering authors to maintain copyright while allowing others to copy, redistribute, remix, transform, and build upon the content for any purpose, even commercially, as long as proper attribution is given.
  • Compliance with Institutional and Funding Mandates: Our open access policy is designed to comply with the open access mandates of many funding agencies and institutions, ensuring that authors can meet the requirements for open access to research outcomes.

Self-Archiving Policy

SciFormat Publishing encourages authors to engage in self-archiving, contributing to the dissemination and accessibility of their work:

  • Pre-Prints: Authors may deposit pre-print versions of their articles on personal websites, institutional repositories, or pre-print servers prior to publication, with a note stating, "This is a pre-print version of the article submitted for publication to 'Contemporary Issues in Artificial Intelligence' published by SciFormat Publishing."
  • Published Versions: After publication, authors are encouraged to archive the published version of their articles, with a citation and a link to the official publication on the SciFormat Publishing site, using the format: "This is the published version of the article, available at SciFormat Publishing website at https://doi.org/[DOI of the article]."

Our open access and self-archiving policies are part of SciFormat Publishing's commitment to the principles of Open Science, aiming to foster a more inclusive, accessible, and impactful research ecosystem in the field of artificial intelligence.
